THIS IS THE NEWS

This week I am introducing a new feature to Thoughts of Mouldy. Namely, Thoughts of Dolly. I discovered whilst watching Transamerica that she is a genius (not that I didn't know this already). So I am going to provide you, my readers, with short snippets of her words. Here's the first one;

Goodbye little children, goodnight you handsome men
Farewell to all you ladies and to all who knew me when
And I hope I'll see you down the road, you meant more than I knew
As I was travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin' thru

***

I am listening to a very good friend of mine present a Radio Program on a BBC Local Radio Station. She is very good. Its weird when your friends get famous.

***
Things I wish I'd of said at the time;
"What are you doing on Saturday?"
"I'm going to the Dogs!"
"Darling, you did that years ago!"

***
Its our work do on Friday and the "Entertainment" is being kept secret. There are rumours though. One is a "local" band! Another is that there'll be a famous comedian and the word is it might be a certain P*t*r K*y! There are also rumours about the Chippendales and Julian Clary but I made those up - its surprising how gullable some people are.

6. What's the worst show you've ever been to?
Beth Orton at the Brighton Dome - she didn't fucking show did she! Would rather go to the fucking Brits.

7. What's the most musically involved you have ever been?
I am not musical. I was in a musical once but it didn't involve singing. I was the Irish Priest.

8. Which band/artist do you dislike?
Oasis. And other over-rated acts (in my opinion) are; Radiohead, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and U2. But then I do like Country.

9. What shows are you looking forward to?
Killers in Brighton. But that is all I have on my horizons. Sad innit?

No contest. Dolly!

Prescilla - as I said I am a gay.

19. What was your last musical "phase" before you wisened up?
Boy bands

20. What's your "guilty pleasure" that you hate to admit to liking?
Proper Bluegrass - the real twangy stuff but most of my taste is pretty dodgy. Barbra being the dodgiest.

The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner

Things that have happened;

I have completed the Brighton 10K. I did it in 57 mins which I am quite pleased with because it is within the time I set myself (one hour). So I have a sense of achievment. Now I need to do it again (there's my addictive personality speaking. But first I need to lose some weight.

So it's FUCK THE FITNESS: LET'S GET THIN. And with the festive season approaching that looks, well, unlikely. But whatever.

My Mum has become addicted to Ebay which is fine because she has made literally hundreds of pounds by selling her dresses from when she was a wee lass in the 50's and 60's, but she can't work how to get the money for them. Which is a problem.

* * *

So yet another close friend turns 30 next week! So I'm heading up to the Finest City in Norfolk to celebrate. Wish me luck!

* * *

I'm watching more films than I thought but none of them are igniting my passion. Never watch Mike Leigh. Ever!

* * *

I am a handful at work. I need anger management. That is all I am saying.

* * *

I need blog inspiration. Please help.

Deadlock

I have rage. Rage against stupid people mainly. The nameless stupid people who make me follow pointless rules. This rage doesn't always make me a very nice person.

And it doesn't make me want to blog.

Catherine Tate had a right go at the Doncaster accent last week. How DARE she!

I'll be back.

Some snippets of info

Don't have much time to post these days but here are some snippets of thoughts.

I am never having a party again. I was trying to have a Bonfire one but it has failed so much that I have thrown my hands up in the air and said "THAT'S IT!". People have backed out, other people have failed to committ and others have messed me about and I decided its not worth it.

The History Boys is the best film I've seen for ages. Right up my street. Go and watch it please.

Fat people eat cake. I am overweight because I like cake and haribo. Realising this fact is my first step towards recovery.
